About the Course Creator

Write to Heal with me, Shriya Agarwal—Writer, Marketing Communications Professional, Certified Holistic Health Coach, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coach, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Coach, and Founder of HOPBI.

Write to Heal is born from my own journey of transforming pain into creativity—I like to call it Metamorphosis of Pain. For 10+ years, writing, especially poetry on my blog and goals in my diary, was my way of navigating overwhelming emotions personally and professionally. Until I discovered structured writing and its benefits. Alongside writing, I explored counselling, coaching, therapy, holistic health, NLP and EFT, initially for my own self-growth. These tools, combined with writing, proved incredibly powerful.

This Write to Heal (Basic) course brings together some of those insights and practical techniques, blending writing with the wisdom of holistic wellness in 12 areas of life. Stay tuned for more advanced, technical courses coming soon!

What Will You Learn?

In the next 21 days, we will establish a regular writing habit, exploring how we reflect on situations, identify our true triggers, understand the thoughts and emotions we experience, uncover where they originate from, and analyse our behavioural patterns. Most importantly, we will define the actions we want to take moving forward.

How Does Writing Help?

Reduces Cognitive Load - Organises your thoughts, making overwhelming emotions easier to manage.

Reduces Dependency on External Validation – Builds emotional independence by analysing your own feelings and responses.

Enhances Self-Awareness – Helps in recognising your patterns, triggers, and emotional responses.

Encourages Logical Thinking – Helps you shift from overthinking to structured, productive analysis, fostering a healthier perspective.

Empowers You to Break Negative Cycles – Helps you work on patterns that no longer serve you, and create new, positive habits.

Why Write To Heal?

Writing helps us reflect, heal, and transform. Much like how a therapist helps you analyse your emotions and patterns, writing gives you the tools to be your own guide. It’s not about replacing professional therapy but complementing it by empowering you to process, reflect, and understand your emotions on your own terms.

However, India, with 1,40,00,00,000+ people, faces a dual challenge — low awareness of mental health issues and an under-resourced mental health sector, with just 3 mental health professionals of all typesper 1,00,000 population . This translates to a massive gap , with a large percentage of people with mental health conditions in India not receiving the care they need.

Moreover, professional counselling and therapy are often expensive , making them out of reach for a large segment of the Indian population that needs consistent support At such a time, writing—as one of the many tools, can help with cleansing space for the mind—a chance to reflect, write, untangle your thoughts, gain clarity, and transform your mess into a meaningful message.

Self-help approaches like writing also prove to be a less intimidating first step for those hesitant to seek professional help due to stigma. It puts individuals in control of their own healing journey.

Hey all, I have completed the Write to Heal course. I am happy I did not leave it in between. The tables may have been tough but helped me revisit my old self. Fighting with old memories was tough but focusing on the new pattern was interesting. Trying to reconstruct myself now as I go with writing as the the path forward.

Kartik

I completed the first chapter. It was good. I can sense I have many negative patterns and I liked the table. After a gap, I am about to start chapter two.

Ridhu

I am on chapter three. The exercises are good. I think I will have to maintain a diary or an excel sheet.
